After Day 5 started, it was quite apparent that only one thing could save yourself the West Indies, and it had been raining. It did come but wasn’t sufficient to get the drama called off. There were mild showers again and again, but following little halts, the play could restart. England was able to dismiss the tourists for just 129 runs and won the game with a massive margin of 269 runs. With this success, they also won the series 2-1 and recovered the Wisden Trophy. The traffic started the afternoon on 10/2 after dropping two wickets late on the next day. The latter finished his 500th Test scalp by pinning Brathwaite at the front of the stumps. Coincidentally, his fellow speed guy Anderson had completed his 500 wickets by ignoring exactly the identical batsman.

Chris Woakes and Dom Bess shine

Among the most underrated players of England’s new team needs to become Chris Woakes. The English all-rounder consistently performs for his group when required. He’s an asset with the bat and the ball. On Day 5, he eventually showed his skill with the ball and was able to have a five-wicket haul. He ignored the lower and middle order of their people to hand his staff a fantastic victory.

While Dom Bess wasn’t needed to bowls fielding genius is exactly what left everybody amazed. A brilliant direct hit led to Roston Chase’s dismissal. It was a blend of fast reflexes and a fantastic presence of mind. While it seemed like he was likely to select the nonstriker’s end, the Englishman turned quickly and threw the ball in striker’s finish to grab the batsman short of his crease.

West Indies batsmen disappoint once again

The West Indies batting line-up has been of no game to the English bowlers. They played with rash shots when survival has been the requirement of the hour. With rain around, the batsmen must have appeared to devote some time to the center. Nevertheless, it did not happen and were finally bowled out for only 129 in only 37.1 overs. Woakes finished with five wickets while Broad had four to his title. The maximum score with a Caribbean batsman from the innings has been 31, which reveals how badly they failed as a team. Stuart Broad, because of his 16 wickets, won the Man of the Series award, and not surprisingly, he was the player of the game.
