PSL 2020: Match 7, Qalandars vs United – Musa Khan’s world record
The advantage kept changing between Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United on Sunday where the visiting team defeats the Qalandars by a 1-wicket remaining. Mohammad Hafeez scores an unbeaten 98 from 57 balls including seven fours and seven sixes to power up the Qalandars to 182/6 in 20 overs.
Colin Munro and Luke Ronchi departed in the first two overs of the chase. The United’s skipper Shadab Khan pushes himself to No.4 and scores a 29-ball 52. Colin Ingram’s 30 of 14 balls in the middle overs brings down the required rate. Shaheen Afridi picked three wickets in his 2nd spell to leave Islamabad at 163/9. But an unbeaten 17 from Musa Khan took them home with a ball to spare.
A record inning from Musa Khan:
17* – Musa Khan’s 17* in this game is now the highest individual score by a No.11 batsman in a successful Twenty20 chase. The previous highest is 12* by Chanaka Welegedara for Wayamba against Basnahira South during the Sri Lanka domestic T20 in 2008.
