The 26-year-old is now plying his trade from the three-match Test series against England and he has not really got into his rhythm. From the first two games from Southampton and Manchester, he obtained dozens of 16, nine, 25, and seven.
The next Test is scheduled to get underway on July 24 at Manchester and Ambrose needs Hope dropped. The veteran reckons that Hope wants a break for him to get his confidence back. Ambrose said that persisting with all the right-hander from the eleven might not be the best of thoughts.

“He’s a far better player than what he’s showing at the present time and is obviously quite low on confidence. Perhaps within another game we ought to rest him he could regain some confidence,” Ambrose was quoted as stating on Sky Sports.
On the rear part of his stupendous knock, the Caribbeans won the match by five wickets. Ambrose believes that Hope’s selection will probably be a”tough call” from the deciding experience.
“If you continue playing with him he keeps neglecting it is only going to get worse. You’re likely to ruin him whether it continues like this. Something has gone horribly wrong for him because those two centuries in Headingley — he has not done anything very in Test cricket since then,” he said.
“I enjoy Hope a great deal. I believe he’s an excellent player but this isn’t performing his confidence any good. Are West Indies likely to proceed with him? It is a difficult call.
“I’m apt to give him another move but by attracting somebody else in he can get completely away from the game for a bit and get his head together,” Ambrose added.
He scored a fifty in the arrangement against England in January 2019 in Bridgetown in Barbados.
